Tiroler Reine is a Therese Fiegl idea: new soaps into which the centuries-old knowledge of the Walde soapmaking family has been poured to blend unparalleled creations.
Each soap tells its own tale...from laundresses in Sellrain Valley and glacier milk, to alpine rhododendrons and falling in love, to forget-me-nots, the stamina of birch trees, alpine speik, cowslips as harbingers of spring, fresh mountain mint and elder, lending its protective mantle of security.
What is so special
about Tiroler Reine soaps?
Noble ingredients, a minimum of 3 pressings and extraordinary alpine scents are the hallmarks of Tiroler Reine soaps made by Walde.
We decided to use shea butter as the fundamental substance of these soaps, since there is no local plant soap base which even comes close to the qualites of shea. Our shea butter comes from the nuts of the African Butter Tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) from Burkina Faso in West Africa. The nuts are gathered in a project for women established in 2009 known as ABPJF (Association Burkinabé pour la Promotion de la Jeune Fille).
The vegetable fat of shea butter is distinguished by an extremely high degree of re-moistening following use. You will see for yourself that your skin never dries out after using Tiroler Reine soaps, but remains silky smooth and soft.
The leaves and blossoms of Tyrolean cowslip and mountain mint used in the soaps come from Mary's Organic Herb Garden in Afling.
The scents of Tiroler Reine soaps are composed and crafted by masters of the trade, inspired by nature.
Each Tiroler Reine soap is 100 percent bio-degradable and disappears utterly from the bathroom: thanks to its low air/water content, the soap does not crumble after being unused for a spell, it remains a silky smooth bar of soap until the very end.
Enjoy these special soaps that bring new, positive feelings into your life - that in itself would make us happy.
